No Heat Yoga (Yin/Yang) Workshop ~ Sat., March 13, 2010 ~ 12-2
Yin Yoga, is a style of yoga in which postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes, the studio is room temperature. All Yin postures are done either lying down, or sitting on the mat. This allows the muscles to relax while ligaments, or connective tissue, can be stretched. This practice is combined with some Yang postures, to provide stretch and strengthen muscles, tendons and in some cases organs and bones. Both Hot Hatha and Power are more Yang type yoga.

Power yoga Workshop ~ Saturday, April 3 & 10, 2010 ~ 12 -2 pm
This is a two part series, 2 hours to each part. Part 1 (April 3,2010) will focus on breathing, Sun Salutations (basic down dog, up dog, chataranga.) We will cover warrior series, lunge series and we will do some core work. Part 2 (April 10, 2010) will cover spinal strengthening, twists, and back bends. And maybe some arm balancing after some core. Come prepared to work hard, and have FUN!!
